1.Safety rules 1.1.Correct using

AX2100 SCBA is a kind of open circuit self contained breathing apparatus , so the users will not rely on the environment air .

The air which we will breath from the air cylinder ,will be passed from the reducer ,demand valve ,and full face mask ,and the air exhaled will be out directly .

Before using the SCBA ,the users must be read the manual carefully ,especially for some safety rules and operation steps ,other wise ,the users have to be abide by the laws of the country .

During the service period ,any change or testing by some company or personal that not authorized by MSA company will be not allowed .Never use the SCBA which is out of the lifetime .

SCBA is used to protect life and health .Wrong using or application or repair will influence the normal function so that to threaten the life of users .

Every time before using ,the users must check if the apparatus is working .If there is any parts not passed the test, or with any damaged ,testing without MSA authorize ,training without MSA team ,NOT ALLOWED to use the apparatus !

SCBA will not allowed to use under water (diving)

1.2.Responsibility
Everyone that will use the AX2100 must comply with this manual ,and do it as MSA

rules .Any special operation or danger operation may hurt the users or life . If anyone not comply with this manual and anything happed ,MSA will not

responsible for it .

2.Product description
AX2100 series SCBA ,6.8L ,9L air cylinder is available . It’s made of (1)full face

mask ,(2)air cylinder ,(3)backplate .

2.2.Main materials
Backplate: enforced fiber material , anti static
Backplate harness: fire resistant harness and fabric Reducer parts : Brass ,nickel plated and chrome processing Medium and high pressure hose : rubber
Facepiece: rubber and PC material
Other parts: stainless steel and plastic

Before using the cylinder , the users must be read the information printed on the cylinder .

MSA cylinder need to be testing every 3 years . MSA suggest the users to change new valves after the water pressure testing .

Only the repair person or MSA maintenance team could make the testing to the cylinder or valve , the users could not take off the valve or gauge be themselves .

Never put the full refilled cylinder exposure under the sunshine . It’s forbidden to change any parts from the cylinder or valve .

2.3.2.The quality standard of air
The refilling air must be approved by : ISO8573.1 the first grade quality air

EN12021 or Germany DIN3188 USA CGA D/E grade

Backplate set is made by plastic backpack ,shoulder tape ,reducer ,medium hose , high pressure hose ,pressure gauge , demand valve etc .

Reducer installed under the backpack , shoulders size could be adjustable . Backplate made of enforced fabric .
Shoulder tape and waist belt made of fire resistant fabric ,much comfortable

design .
Other metal parts made of stainless steel material .
The buckles and tapes of cylinder could be adjustable so that to fit different size

of cylinder .
